For Cardmaker85

This is a Fat Book page I made for a very special lady who is ill in hospital at the moment. I hope that the book we are preparing for her (courtesy of a very kind person on the CSF) will go some way to cheering her up.

I used Flower Soft for the first time. I had done the page but thought it 'lacked' something and then my eye fell on the pot of pinky Flower Soft I had bought a couple of weeks previously. Edging the page with that has just finished it off nicely.

Linda's dragon stamp

Here are two fat book pages using the same stamp (one of Linda's fabulous designs).

Using peel-offs as a template

This was another card I made using the 'peel-off as a template' technique. This time I created the background to the card instead of making it the focal point. The colours are a lot more subtle as I used chalks instead of inks.

The main focus of the card was done using 3D peel-offs stuck onto card and then coloured using Sakura pens and a water brush. Unfortunately you don't see the subtle glitter effect from this photo.

Cards suitable for men

These two cards are suitable for men - always difficult to make cards for!

I got the effect by putting a peel-off sticker on the paper, then used inks directly over them - using a few colours to get a bit of contrast. Then I removed the peel-off sticker which left the outline on the page.

Teddy Bear Fat Book pages

I was very behind with my Teddy Bear Fat Book pages and had run out of inspiration. Then my friend Linda from the Craft Swap Forum designed this lovely teddy stamp (available here) and in a rush I managed to make all 7 of the pages I had left to do.

Unfortunately the scans don't really do these pages justice, but I thought I would just show a taster of what they look like here.

Scrapbooking mk2

This is the second scrapbooking page I have made. It is of course again of Emily Kate, the elephant I adopt.

I hope eventually to do a page for each year I have adopted her (but may take some time!).

Scrapbooking

I decided to do my first attempt at a scrapbooking page. It seemed logical to start with the elephant I adopt - Emily Kate. I have been adopting her for the past five years or so and as I receive an updated photograph of her each year and also a certificate it seemed a shame just to put them in a drawer. So... here is my first attempt at scrapbooking!
