Hmm, it's been a while...

Thought I would try and resurrect my blog as it has been *ahem* a few years since I last uploaded anything to it!

I needed to make an Anniversary card for my husband at the weekend and had no inspiration so I ended up digging out some backgrounds I had created a while back using the Gelli Plate and decided one of those would do.

Now for the words.  I had fairly recently bought some word stamps from Claritystamp (http://www.claritystamp.co.uk/) and reckoned some of those would do, randomly stamping them.

I am quite pleased with the result.

Having a play...

Having bought some new stamps last week at the Ally Pally show from Stampscapes I had a little play with them yesterday and this is the result. I used Stazon Mustard, Pumpkin and Black Cherry ink pads for the background and black Versafine for the stamps and dark edges.

For a first play I am quite pleased with the result.

Linda's Alphabet Challenge - B

B is for Boat (it should have said boats, but ran out of space!)

The images are from Tanda Stamps and the letters are Tim Holtz foam stamps - I coloured it using distress inks watered down.

Not the best Fat Book page ever, but inspiration isn't great at the moment.

Some cards I made recently

Just thought I would share a few cards I have made over the past few months as I haven't update my blog in a while.

Linda's Alphabet Challenge - A

A is for Africa, or possibly even Animals of Africa. I have done a Fat Book page using stamps from Tanda Stamps and using Versafine Vintage Sepia and Library Green Archival inks.

It's Christmas!!

Well ok, not quite. But I have made a start on my Christmas cards. Thanks to Linda Luckin's fab stamps I was able to get a bit of a 'production line' going by stamping the same image six times and then colouring each one in at the same time (all the reds together, all the greens together etc.). This has meant that I made six cards in one afternoon/evening and have made a start on toppers for ten more.

Taster of the toppers still on the production line:

Envelope Challenge

Craft Swap Forum is two years old. To celebrate Simon set a challenge. We were put into teams of 6, each team was given a theme and each person had to decorate an envelope and insert to that theme.

My team - Three's A Crowd (Team 3) had the theme of 'Childhood'. Here is my envelope:

And here is the insert. I wanted to make it like a baby's rattle, so have done it as a 'shaker' card.
